Frequently asked questions

How do I know if my ducts need to be sealed?

We will do a pressure test on the system prior to sealing. If it meets the minimum standard pressure, then we won't seal it.  However, of the 350+ homes that we have sealed, none of them met that minimum before the ducts were sealed.

My home is a newer home. Would duct sealing help me?

It might.  Newer homes often have a lower quality of craftmanship than older ones.  This can mean that the duct system is leaking if it wasn't carefully installed to make sure that all the fittings and joints were completely connected.

Some home builders are opting to include the Aeroseal Duct Sealing technology with the inital HAC installation.

We can do a pressure test of your duct system to confirm that there are no leaks.

How long does the duct sealing take?

An average home with a total of 13-15 vent registers takes about 3 hours.

How can duct sealing help me save on energy bills?

Duct sealing reduces energy waste by ensuring optimal airflow and sealing leaks in your duct system. This leads to lower energy bills and improved comfort.

What is included in an energy audit?

An energy audit includes a thorough assessment of your property's energy usage, identification of inefficiencies, and recommendations for improvement.

Why is insulation important for energy efficiency?

Insulation plays a key role in maintaining a consistent indoor temperature, reducing heat loss, and lowering energy costs.
