Grants and Rebates and Tax Credits for 'Energy Efficiency'

What's the big deal about 'Energy Efficiency'?

It really is true that our power grid is quickly approaching it's maximum capacity.  Electric vehicles and Artificial Intelligence technologies are both high users of electricity. Power companies are quietly working behind the scenes to make sure that we have continuous and stable power, but it truly is becoming more challenging to avoid 'brown outs' like other countries have recently experienced.

Saving, or conserving energy is the cheapest way to make more energy available. In a nutshell that's 'energy efficiency'.

Many electric and gas utility companies (e.g. Avista and Bonneville) are now setting aside funds to provide to tenants and/or homeowners to help each one do their small part to help reduce the amount of energy usage in their homes, which then reduces demand on the power grid.

Each program is unique and has different qualification requirements. They can also be hard to find because they are administered through a variety of agencies, including your electric/gas company,  City,  County, Tribal,  State or Federal government.

We here at KW Energy are attempting to identify all the programs that may benefit residences in Northeastern Washington and present them here.

Just don't care about 'Energy Efficiency'?

That's OK! Whether you care about it or not, having your air ducts sealed will make your home more comfortable for You and put more money in your pocket by reducing your heating bill. It may also help with uneven heating throughout the house, and reduce the dust.

Because the duct seal is guaranteed to last at least 10 years, we've even seen it be listed as a selling point by the homeowner when selling a home.

I'm afraid there will be too much paperwork to get a Grant or Rebate

It really isn't that bad.  We do most of the paperwork for you, however, some programs do require that you answer some simple questions online. For instance, if it's a program that is income based, you would be asked "How many people are in your household?" and "What is your monthly (or annual) income?".  We are here to help you if you have any questions.

Current Grants

Note that the Grants listed below may not be available to everyone. It depends on various factors, including what County you live in, who your electricity provider is, your income and what upgrades are needed on your home.

Give us a call and we'll help you identify which one works for you!
